According to the Ideal Gas Law (PV = nRT):
  • If you increase Temperature (particle speed), the Pressure goes up because particles hit the walls harder and more often.
  • If you decrease the Volume (shrink the box), the Pressure goes up because particles have less space and collide with the walls more frequently.
