🛤️ The Ponzo Illusion
Does the pink line look much longer than the blue line? Use the slider to try and make them exactly the same size, then click "Reveal Guide"!
🧠 How it works
When you look at the track, your brain interprets the converging lines as a sign of depth. It assumes the top of the image is further away than the bottom.
To your brain, if two objects take up the same amount of space on your eye, but one is "further away," the one that is further must be physically larger. This is why even when the two colored bars are exactly 120 pixels wide, the top one looks like it would be massive compared to the bottom one in a real 3D world!
