🧠 The Brain's 3D Trap
Your brain doesn't see these as 2D drawings; it sees them as 3D objects in a room. It interprets the vertical table as receding into the distance, so it automatically "stretches" the shape in your mind to compensate for the perspective.
Because the shapes are mathematically identical, but oriented differently, your internal software creates two completely different size estimates. Even after seeing them move, your brain will lie to you again as soon as they separate!
