🧠 Stroop Test Challenge
Click the COLOR of the text, NOT the word itself. 30 seconds on the clock!
About the Stroop Effect Brain Test
Think you can trust your own eyes? The Stroop Effect is a famous psychological phenomenon that demonstrates how our brains process words and colors differently. When the name of a color (like the word "BLUE") is printed in a different color ink (like red ink), our brains experience a split-second of interference. It takes significantly longer to correctly identify the color of the ink because reading the word is an automatic, deeply ingrained reflex. This game forces you to fight your instincts and select the color of the ink, not the text you are reading!
How to Play
- The Goal: You have exactly 30 seconds to score as many points as possible by correctly identifying the physical color of the text displayed on the screen.
- The Trap: If the word "YELLOW" appears on the screen, but it is written in green ink, you must quickly click the GREEN button to score a point! If you let your brain automatically read the word and you click the yellow button, the screen will shake and you won't score.
- Pace Yourself: You don't lose points for wrong answers, but every mistake burns precious seconds off the clock. Take a breath, focus on the pigment, and try to beat your high score!
